Afghanistan ready for direct flights to Kazakhstan

Afghanistan and Kazakhstan agreed to establish a common chamber of commerce and strengthen trade cooperation.

Acting Minister of Trade and Industry Nooruddin Azizi and his Kazakh counterpart Bak-hyt Sultanov made the announcement on Saturday.

At a joint press conference in Kabul, Azizi said in-depth talks had taken place with a visiting Kazakh delegation, led by Sultanov.

Efforts were underway to create a common chamber of commerce, he said, adding: “Steps have been taken to establish a chamber of commerce.”

Afghanistan was ready to work together with Ka-zakhstan to strengthen bilateral trade relations, ”the minister said after talks with the Kazakh delegation. promised that more aid would reach Kabul soon.

He said: “If we refer to the trade relations, the exports and imports of goods between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan fell by 27%.

Azizi assured the Kazakh minister that Afghanistan was ready for the establishment of an air corridor and the resumption of direct flights to the Central Asian country.

Meanwhile, an exhibition of Afghan products such as fruits, pets, gems and handmade items was held in Kabul. The two sides focused on the operations of Kazakhstan’s commercial banks in Afghanistan.
