MoS Lekhi sees India-Hungary Business Forum as step towards realizing ‘full potential’ of trade between countries

New Delhi [India]May 27 (ANI): At the inauguration of the India-Hungary Business Forum in New Delhi on Friday with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto, Union Minister of State for External Affairs Meenakashi Lekhi said that the he event was a milestone in realizing the full trade and investment potential between the countries.
Taking to Twitter, MoS Lekhi wrote, “A great pleasure to inaugurate the India-Hungary Business Forum with HE Mr. Peter Szijjarto, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Our bilateral trade has grown rapidly in recent years. This event is a step in realizing our full trade and investment potential and expanding our ties.”

The event was followed by the signing by Minister of External Affairs, Dr S Jaishankar, of a Memorandum of Understanding on the International Solar Alliance (ISA) with Minister of Foreign Affairs Szijjarto.
EAM Jaishankar also held a bilateral meeting with Minister Szijjarto and discussed global affairs on the sidelines of the India-Hungary Business Forum.
“A real pleasure to welcome FM Peter Szijjarto from Hungary to New Delhi. Looking forward to our discussions on bilateral issues and global affairs,” Jaishankar tweeted ahead of the meeting.
Previously, Jaishankar met with Minister Szijjarto on the sidelines of the Bled Strategy Forum on September 1-2, 2021 in Slovenia and again on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York on September 22, 2021.
