More about the event, the organizers write:
Environment, social and governance (ESG) issues have become key factors in all investment decisions of long-term investors around the world. It is often used interchangeably with sustainable investing, socially responsible investing, and corporate social responsibility.
In addition, ESG addresses many issues that are actually addressed more effectively in a public-private partnership, such as ensuring sustainable use of energy and resources, establishing social protection schemes, as well as the search for financial transparency and the fight against corruption, etc. where both public and private actors play essential roles.
Many global challenges have been imposed by Covid – the labor market and also for the legal framework in light of the core ILO conventions on labor standards as well as environmental commitments under the Paris Agreement on climate change and more recently at the Climate Summit (COP26) in Glasgow in November 2021, the ESG approach will offer responses to common challenges to the public and private sectors.
